The Eastern & Oriental Express departs Singapore’s Keppel Road station in the morning. Having been welcomed onboard the gleaming carriages, settle into the comfort of the Bar or Observation Cars and enjoy the passing scenery as the train crosses to Malaysia via the causeway of the Straits of Johor.  A sumptuous lunch is served in one of the two opulent dining cars.

There is time to pay a call on the Astrologer in the Reading Room or enjoy the panoramic views of peninsular Malaysia before afternoon team is presented in the Saloon Car.  As twilight falls the modern skyline of Kuala Lumpur comes into view. 

Disembark at Kuala Lumpur’s magnificent Moorish-style station in the early evening.
