If you are holidaying with us for the first
time then you might like to consult our Club Med A to Z as an introduction to
some of the main components of your forthcoming holiday.
Accommodation All Club Med destinations featured in this
brochure offer hotel "bungalow", or twin-bedded accommodation. Some
superior rooms may be available for pre-booking.
All-inclusive Unless stated otherwise, the Club Med package price includes: return flights & transfers, full-board (including wine with meals), most sports, tuition, children's clubs (from 2 yrs), entertainment.
Bar drinks Drinks at the bar are one of the few things you will pay extra for and for these Club Med operates a unique payment system of (non-refundable) "Bar tickets" with colours representing specific values. These can be purchased in the village.
Boutique Confectionery Most of our villages offer a Club Med boutique where you can purchase a selection of holiday accessories, sunglasses, sun creams, confectionery, postcards, stamps etc.
Chef de Village The "Chef de Village" is your resort manager, who is in charge of the GO team and is the chief ambassador of Club Med during your stay.
Children Children are welcome from any age at all villages. Depending on the destination, children's clubs are available for various age groups: Baby Club (1 to 2yrs), Petit Club (2yrs up to 4yrs) and Mini Club (4yrs up to 12yrs). Baby and Petit Club places are limited and subject to payment of a supplement at the time of booking. Mini Club places are included in the original package price.
Comfort Villages and their
accommodation are graded in terms of comfort as follows:
basic, comfortable,very comfortable. This graded system is unique to Club Med
and should not be compared to any other classification system.
Cruises Our luxury cruise ship, Club Med 2, offers a variety of itineraries allowing you to cruise the Caribbean or Mediterranean in sophisticated style.
Entertainment Club Med offers its own style of entertainment which includes impromptu games and surprises during the day and evening cabaret style shows orchestrated by the GO team.
Excursions A programme of excursions is offered (at extra cost, bookable on-site) at most villages and includes half or full-day trips to explore the historical and cultural sights and treasures of the nearby region.
Food Food is one of the main pillars of Club Med's reputation with copious breakfasts, feastlike lunchtime buffets and stylish dinners on the menu.
GO & GM "GO" or "Gentil Organisateur" (kind organiser) is the term given to our team of international hosts and hostesses. "GM" or "Gentil Membre" (kind member) is the term given to our guests who come from over 40 countries around the world.
Health & fitness A selection of our villages offer fitness centres which, depending on the destination, offer a variety of facilities such as: the latest keepfit apparatus, swimming pool, sauna, hammam and, at extra cost, massage and special health and beauty treatments.
Idyllic Our villages are designed to blend with the local environment. Wherever the beaches are better, the waters clearer, and the sights more fascinating, you'll find the perfect Club Med experience.
Leisure activities A variety of low-key leisure activities are available which, depending on the village include: arts & crafts work-shops, painting on silk, taped classical music, boat trips, picnics, petanque, ping pong and multimedia workshops.
Nightlife In addition to the evening shows, most villages have a nightclub where you can bop your socks off until the wee hours!

Restaurants All our villages have a main restaurant where you can enjoy the company of new found friends from around the world. Most villages also offer smaller "speciality restaurants", usually open in the evening, and featuring more intimate dining. Depending upon the destination, you can choose from local specialities, Italian, Seafood and French Cuisine. Speciality restaurant tables often need to be reserved in advance, at the village.
Sports Club Med is often known as "The Largest Sports Club in The World" and offers sporting activities for everyone.Depending on the destination, water sports include windsurfing, sailing, snorkelling, kayaking, water skiing and at some villages, scuba diving. Land sports include tennis, golf, circus school, keepfit, archery, mountain biking, guided walks, volleyball, basketball and beach-volley.
Trident Thanks to King Neptune, this is the name of the Club Med symbol, which forms part of the distinctive Club Med logo.
Tuition Fully qualified tuition is available for nearly all sporting pursuits for either beginners or all levels depending on the destination.
